Nobody truly knows what happens to us after we die. But everyone has a theory. Some people believe in...nothing. This life happens and then that's it. That's sad. What is the point of living a good life or even being remembered if in the end there's nothing? This reminds me of agnostics. An entire belief predicated on punching holes in other people's beliefs. You don't believe in God? That's great for you, but have a backbone and tell mean what you do believe in. What is your purpose in living a life that isn't completely self serving?
Some people believe in reincarnation. Depending on how you live your life determines how you return? Does that mean returning in human form is a priveledge or a demotion? It's hard to tell sometimes. Let's say you return as a fly. What can you possibly do to gain or lose position? Do those annoying flies that keep pestering you and won't leave you alone get demoted to a maggot or something? And if you do come back as a human, nobody should have to go through puberty and high school more than once. That's just plain cruel.
Some people believe in heaven and hell while others believe that there's just a hell. I think you have one, you have to have the other as well. I for one, believe in heaven. This world is much too complex to have by formed by mere chaos. Karma is out there, but it's more than just karma. Plus, you have to believe in something in a world like this or it'll tear you apart. If there truly is nothing after this life (which the mere thought is depressing and sad), have you really missed out on all that much by living a good life? At the end of your life, you won't be thinking your life is a waste. It'll more like having a blaring television that someone turned off into silence. If on the other hand, there is a heaven and hell while you chose not to believe...watch out!
